Jeff Bechtel is a Senior Vice President focusing on origination and execution of M&A transactions for asset management, securities brokerage and financial technology firms. Since joining Putnam Lovell in 2002, Mr. Bechtel has worked on a number of successful transactions, including:
- HedgeWorks' sale to Deutsche Bank
- ValueAct Capital Management's sale of a minority interest to Affiliated Managers Group
- Chicago Equity Partners' sale of a majority interest to Affiliated Managers Group
- Coast Asset Management's sale of a minority interest to Summit Partners
- Deerfield & Company's sale of a majority interest to Triarc Companies
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bechtel spent five years at Bank One in the Corporate Finance Advisory Group and later the Mergers and Acquisitions Group, where he focused on execution, strategic advisory work and financial due diligence for both buyers and sellers across a range of industries.
Mr. Bechtel received a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Marketing with Honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
